The Philadelphia Orchestra has developed a new app called “Livenote” to encourage concertgoers to follow along to the music on their smartphones. The application includes program notes, musical analyses of the works performed, and multimedia to guide the musical appreciation of the public. An article in the Washington Post has provoked a debate about the use of new technologies in concert halls.
Are you in favour or against the use of smartphones during the concert?
