The MOOCs concept (Massive Open Online Courses) allow everyone to follow online university courses at a cheap price, if not for free. Based in New York, the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) has released a MOOC on the Coursera website for everyone who wants to learn more about photography. Interesting fact: 40% of their subscribers had never heard of MoMA before taking the class. Are MOOCs a new way to democratize the arts for the greater public?
