Music’s influence on learning is well known; only one must think about the mnemonic power of rhymes or the meaning a piece gains when linked to an extramusical concept. Musical performance is an effective tool for understanding artistic approaches when it is linked to pictorial works and a piece of music obtains new meaning when correlated with visual works. The experience of musical performances in museums seems to confirm this idea.
