The DMAQ was selected to give a talk at Classical:NEXT (C:N), a international forum created in 2012 for classical music professionals with innovative approaches. On this occasion, DMAQ was represented by Caroline Marcoux-Gendron (coordinator and student member) and Natassja Menezes (student member and head of communications) who presented the research project during the “Study Corner” session on Friday May 22.
They also explained the objectives, methodology and various activities of the DMAQ to attending members of the music industry. This 2015 edition of C:N brought together 1000 professionals from 45 countries.
A large Canadian delegation was present for this edition in which Canada was being honoured, especially at the opening concert, “Canada:NEXT”. As well, many booths were occupied by Canadian organizations and institutions such as the Canadian Music Centre, the Canada Council for the Arts, Music on Main, and Orchestras Canada.
